FAQ

Where will my pets travel in the aircraft?

Your pet will travel in the livestock hold which is pressurised, heated and situated below the passenger cabin.

—————

What can we put in our Pets traveling Kennel?

You can put in a soft toy or blanket with a familiar scent, this will help your pet settle down whilst in transport. Airlines prohibit any sharp or metal items, pet food, bean bags etc. Please contact a consultant for further information.

—————

Does my Pet receive food and water prior to traveling?

Pets are generally not fed immediately prior to travel to avoid travel sickness. All our traveling kennels are fitted with water containers which are refilled during transits (International Only)

—————

Should we sedate our Pet?

It is NOT recommended to Sedate your pets in the pressurised conditions of an aircraft. Adverse drug reactions and breathing difficulties may occur due to the change in air pressure. Airlines may refuse to carry sedated animals as they cannot detect their state of health. After the initial loading into the air kennels, pets soon settle down to the journey and fall asleep. To ensure your pet arrives at their destination healthy and happy, we do not sedate them.

—————

How much room does my pet need in their traveling kennel?

We ensure that your pet will be able to stand, lie down and turn around. Extra space is not recommended by the airlines due to injury from possible turbulence.

—————

Can our Pet travel with their collar on?

Yes they can, however, we don’t recommend it as they can get caught up. We can easily attach it to the outside of their traveling kennel.

—————

Will my pet be stressed from the flight?

More than a million pets fly safely world-wide every year and are well cared for. All animals are checked and watered on stopovers.

—————

Are there any circumstances when animals cannot fly?

Yes. Restrictions are sometimes imposed for the welfare of your pets when seasonal temperatures in Oman reach a minimum and maximum.
